If I thought getting back into running was hard, drawing is even harder 😭
Rick Rubin's The Creative Act is inspiring.. but he also says not to rely on inspiration. Haha.

I went to Beinart Gallery in Brunswick and Brunswick Street Gallery (which despite its name, is not in Brunswick 😅) for some inspiration.
While it didn't immediately move me to draw, one set of large paintings by Nancy Cover made me think -
We can choose to stand really close with our nose to the painting and just see random blotches of colours that don't make much sense.. or we could take a few steps back and see the overall beauty and cohesion of the painting as a whole.
It's a bit like.. the ugly blotch, the mistake, the painful situation you're in - isn't the whole story, it's not the end. If anything, it adds to the overall depth of your life. I say this whilst standing slightly outside of the midst of it, I know it's something that's easy to say but hard to realise.
